From Bergen passing the Artic Circle to the North Cape and Russia.
Bergen's Bryggen, oldest part of Bergen. Red building on left is our hotel.
Bryggen's alleyways are filled with craft shops and artists.

and beautiful.
Snow dusted the mountain tops.

They danced and whirled in the night sky.
We pass the Arctic Circle coming and going.
A tour of Alesund, a town of Art Nouveau buildings.
Lovely architectural touches everywhere.
Majestic Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, Norway's 3rd largest city.
To visit the North Cape we had a long but beautiful bus ride.
This is the photo op at the North Cape.
Cross if you have the proper papers for Russia. Otherwise I wouldn't suggest it.
At the Loften Islands we had a lovely day which included a visit to a medieval church
and a World War II bunker used by the Nazis.
The Loften Islands are beautiful, filled with mountains, farms and rivers.
The ship had a couple of places for casual food including ice cream. How about tasting some fish or cheese or beer flavors?
We often passed other Hurtigruten ships or docked next to one. This is sunrise.
The scenery continued to impress.
Often we would see individual homesteads.
